§ 1: GBS Institute GmbH (“GBS Institute” or “the Institute”) is an Organization, which provides Executive Education. It offers Seminars, Trainings and Coachings.

§ 2: Registrations for our Seminars, Trainings and Coachings may be made on our Website, via Email or in any other written form. After Confirmation by GBS, the contract with the Institute becomes effective. The participation fee is due as mentioned on the invoice, which you will receive after confirmation. All prices are exclusive of VAT, meaning that a 19% surcharge will be made on your invoice.

§ 3: In case the participant is not able to attend the Seminar, Training or Coaching, she/he is entitled to name a replacement person, which will attend instead of the originally registered person. If no replacement person is named, GBS Institute will deregister the application and the applicant is entitled to a refund of 50 percent of the fee, if cancellation is made more than two weeks before the Seminar’s, Training’s or Coaching’s start date. If cancellation is made less than two weeks but more than three days before the Seminar’s, Training’s or Coaching’s start date, 10 percent of the fee will be reimbursed. Cancellation three or less days before start date or no-show will mean that the full fee is due. Individual settlements may be made on a case-by-case basis (e.g. in case of illness).

§ 4: GBS Institute reserves the right to replace the scheduled Speaker by a different Speaker, who is qualified for the Seminar, Training or Coaching in question. GBS Institute may also cancel a publicly offered Seminar or Training, e.g. if not a sufficient number of applications has been registered or if neither the scheduled Speaker nor a replacement Speaker is available (e.g. due to illness, etc.); in such case, all registered participants will receive a full repayment of their fee. Any other claims are excluded. GBS Institute is also entitled to make adaptations to the content of its Seminars and cannot be held liable for not covering every single detail as described in the Seminar announcement.

§ 5: GBS Institute reserves the right to change the venue of its Seminars, Trainings and Coachings to different premises or cities as originally announced. GBS Institute will do its very best to find an appropriate venue which is located in a reasonable distance from the originally announced venue (i.e. close enough not to require previous day arrival). In case of a small number of registrants, GBS Institute may also conduct a Seminar in the format of a Coaching, meaning high-intensity training within a reduced timeframe.

§ 6: Given that GBS Institute is an Organization providing Executive Education, no written or oral statement, presentation or any other information made by a Speaker in the course of our Seminars, Trainings or Coachings may be construed as an individual legal, tax, accounting or business advice. Thus, GBS Institute cannot be held liable for any business decision based on such information.

§ 7: GBS Institute cannot be held liable for any damages suffered in the course of a Seminar, Training or Coaching (e.g. theft of personal belongings, injuries, etc.).

§ 8: Venue for all disputes is Dusseldorf, Germany. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

§ 9: Should parts or individual wordings of these stipulations not or not fully correspond to the current legal situation or not correspond to the current legal situation any more, the contents and validity of the remaining parts of these Terms and Conditions shall remain unaffected.

§ 10: Every participant of our Seminars will receive a Certificate of Participation.
